Los Angeles-based Hold The Date, Inc. was started 1991 by Debbie Powell and Anne Barnett. Combined with their mutual interests and backgrounds in advertising and promotion they pooled their talents and experiences in fundraising and event planning to start Hold The Date, Inc.,  a full-service special event planning company for corporations and private clients.

Debbie  was a freelance art director for over 10 years for various advertising     agencies    such    as    Needham,    Harper,    Steers,

BBDO, and J. Walter Thompson. Prior to that she ran the art departments for many Medical and Industrial Advertising Agencies. Debbie brings the creative side to the partnership.

Anne started her career in television working on such game shows as Wheel of Fortune and Card Sharks. She then went on to become an Advertising Account Executive for Wells, Rich, Greene,  and subsequently Anne headed a successful Entertainment Executive Search firm.  Anne brings the organizational and financial experience to the corporation.

Rusty came to Hold The Date, Inc. a couple years after its inception.  She started her career in retailing as a buyer for Bullocks department stores and for The Limited.   She went on to be president of a division at Cherokee clothing.   This fiery red head brings the resourceful quality to the partnership, just give her a task and it's completed in no time.
